Welcome to the homepage of the RTD project "P2E2 – Peer-to-Peer Enterprise Environment". The project is addressing the use of peer-to-peer concepts and technologies for the business-process-based integration of application systems. P2E2 is funded under the research offensive Software Engineering 2006 by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research.

The German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) initiated the research offensive “Software Engineering 2006". It supports cooperative, precompetitive research projects in order to empower the software technology in Germany, in particular software-developing small and middle enterprises (SME). Leading-edge software technology should be fostered and strengthened. The Ministry BMBF supports research work in emerging fields. The promotion helps SMEs to reduce the technical and economic risk,  associated with the research and development.
